I was totally disappointed in Nigeria performance today at the first ever African World Cup Finals, when one of his players decided to foolishly kick his Greece's opponent - Regardless of the referee decision to red-card the guy, he lacked gentlemanly conduct and show no class whatsoever. Now the lost and imminent elimination of Nigeria falls on his face. What does he have to say now? Greece 2 - Nigeria 1: This is Greece's first ever World Cup victory....As you may have noticed, there are a lot of firsts this new century... First ever Black President in the US, First ever FIFA African World Cup Finals, should I go on? I think you get the picture.
Right now Africa is not performing at the level we expected them to perform - South Africa, the host nation , is currently facing an embarrassingly crashing early exit - first ever such exit- in the history of the FIFA World Cup. I really hope that they pull a miracle but it rather seems MISSION IMPOSSIBLE at the moment. But you never know what fate may bring! As I said earlier Nigeria was a total embrassment today and they have themselves to blame. Cameroon is still struggling and doesn't have a clear path ahead of him to reach the round of 16. Algeria is really not a factor in this World Cup and is expected to be eliminated in the first round. Ivory Coast and Ghana are the ONLY hope for Africa right now and we really pray that they do really good in their remaining games. Otherwise, there maybe another FIRST bad record setter.

Let's cross our fingers and HOPE!

totally agree with Awadh...we just need to stop looting. you are also right that we are not poor as far as our resources are concerned. however, one thing is true, and that thing is we must be able to harness those resources for our people. Otherwise, the misery and suffering will not stop any time soon.

You can't talk about Africa without honoring a great and noble man in the person of Ralph Bunche. Please, read on for yourself what this great man has accomplished for people from every race, including allowing enslaved Africa to be freed from Colonization; Europe, America, Asia, etc... to adhere to human rights.

Please, read on!

J'aime l'Afrique. L'amour propre commence d'abord par aimer soi-meme avant d'aimer son prochain. Alors j'aime ce beau et grand continent et je le souhaite la paix et la tranquilite.Connaissez vous le Congo?
