If this message is so momentous, why is it being sold and not being dispensed at no charge? Why commercialize it? Why package and market The Word of God? If these messages are truly lifesaving, they should be provided at no cost because they would save lives. Those commercializing God's Word in this manner are not placing the greatest value on life as God did. He did not charge humans money when he freely sent and gave his Son (The Word of God). Those who commercializing God's word are really saying that they do not place value on human life because any who cannot afford to purchase these letters, will loose their life. Why is it so difficult for those who claim to follow the Christ, to follow his example and listen to his words as given below: "Freely you have received, freely give." (Matthew 10:8)
First I would like to thank you for taking the time to read the information I posted to this blog. I, also, appreciate that you have sent me your question about why the letters are not being offer free of charge. I feel that this is a sincere inquiry on your part, and I will do my best to show you that; although you may be sincere, you are not interpreting the scripture you quoted correctly, nor are you correctly representing what the bible has to say on this subject. Although, I don't think this was your intentions; never the less, you have taken this scripture out of context to support how you feel about this subject. Your first misconception about me, at least, is that I don't offer anything free of charge. I have a blog page, www.willean21.blogspot.com, where I post a monthly article free for everyone on the Internet to read. And I also sent out, free of charge, a bi-monthly (sometime more) article for all those on my email list, nukeylinks@yahoo.com, which numbers in the thousands to read. Anyone who wish to be placed on my free email list just has to send me a request to this email address. So, having said that; Why have I elected to charge for this specific information?
If I'm to take the statement you made above literally; I would have to believe that at no time, and under no circumstances, has the Creator of heaven and earth ever required that the work that is being done on earth for his purpose be financed with money.
Mal. 3:6-9; “I the Lord do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,' says the Lord Almighty. “But you ask, 'How are we to return?” “Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' “In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse-the whole nation of you-because you are robbing me.
So, the first thing we learn from reading the first scripture we will be examining is that the Creator does not change! He has required that those who are the true people of the bible to support the work that he is doing here on the earth. And this means that this would apply to whoever are the true people of the bible today, and any people that accepts the true message of the bible. Since a total agricultural society no longer exist; the tithe and offering would come in the form of today's currency of exchange, which is – money! So, if the Creator states that he does not change, and we are to believe that when he says he does not change; that's what he means: Then the statement you made above is just simply not true. Because, in order for your statement to be true; that would have to mean that the Creator does not place a value on human life also!
You also stated that the Creator did not charge humans money when he sent his son to this earth. This also is not true.
Jn. 13:28-29: But no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him,. Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the Feast, or to give something to the poor.
So now, if one of the very disciples of the Savior was placed in charge of the money; Who do you think it was that put him in charge of the money? Since he and the other disciples were just students themselves; it should be clear that the only person that could have put him in charge of the money was the Savior himself. Now, where do you think this money was coming from? Do you think it just miraculously fell from heaven? Or, was it more likely that the Savior actually collected money from the people who came to hear his message? If you would read the scriptures carefully, and correctly; the answer would be obvious. But lets let the Savior himself tell us what he think a person should do when they find the truth of the kingdom.
Mtt. 13:44-46; “The kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it. He hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value; he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
So, while speaking in parables to those who didn't understand that the kingdom is a great mystery: The Savior shows that to those who this great mystery is revealed and they also come to understand this mystery: They should do everything in their power to possess it. Even if this means spending money to obtain it. In the Letters To The Black Man And Women; the true mystery of the kingdom is being offered. But, only to those who understand that this is a great treasure worthy enough to buy! For those who don't come to see this; These letters are parables that they will never understand.
Now, lets deal with the one scripture you have tried to use to support a principal that is not even found in the bible you claim to be representing. In the example you quoted above (Mtt. 10:5-20); this was a special assignment the Savior was giving to some of his disciples. These men were being sent on special missions to far away countries to take the message the Savior brought to the earth to those people who were now living so far away that the Savior himself could not take the message to them personally. So, in this special situation, the Savior was telling these men that even though they would be traveling to far away lands; they should not go on this journey worried about how they were going to survive. He was making a point to them, and them only, that in this particular case; they were going to be provided everything they will need, so they don't have to take cloths, food, or money. That's the correct interpretation of this scripture, and it has nothing to do with not using money to do the work that the Creator is doing here on the earth. If this is not the true interpretation, then why did Peter, who was now an Apostle, accept the money that was placed at his feet from all the faithful followers of the truth, and punished those who tried to cheat the work he was doing (Acts 4:32 – Acts 5:10)? And, Why did the Apostle Paul state that the Creator has commanded that those who preach the true message should receive their living from the truth they preach (I Cor. 9:1-14)?
So, you see my friend, when the scriptures of the bible are read correctly; they reveal that the work the Creators have done on earth has always been financed from the money of those who benefit from the message of this work.
